You will be able to play any nation in the world, just like in the game's predecessor, Hearts of Iron II. <br /><br />The company behind the game, as already mentioned, is Paradox Interactive, a Swedish company that has also created Europa Universalis. In depth strategy is the company's main focus.<br /><br />In Hearts of Iron III, you will be able to get a nation to be a superpower, by building up the economy and all aspects of it, like production, technology and, of course military. You can start a war or sabotage other nations at will, in order to make sure that you achieve your goals.<br /><br />The game is a little bit like the Civilization series in concept. You will be able to research from 12 technology trees. You will have complete control over your military, at every level. Overall, the most defining phrase for this game is "hardcore strategy".
